Dominique Johnson

Dominique Johnson brings a wealth of experience in decarbonization and climate risk and resilience to Future Climate Collective.
Dominique currently serves as in-house lawyer at Salesforce, focused on sustainability and climate. She had a similar role at Nike. Dominique's expertise in counseling businesses on decarbonization, sustainability, climate risk and resilience, coupled with her passion for climate literacy, positions her to lead FCC. Inspired by her twin boys, her vision is to create a generation of informed leaders who are prepared to tackle the challenges posed by a changing climate.

Lisa Whelan
Co-Founder, Director, Curriculum
Lisa Whelan is an accomplished educator with over 20 years of experience across public, charter, and private school systems. Her dedication to environmental education, coupled with her deep understanding of the evolving needs of teachers and students makes her a great choice for Curriculum Director at the Future Climate Collective.
Lisa has consistently identified and addressed gaps in educational practices, including the pressing need for adaptive and up-to-date curriculum materials. Her expertise in designing impactful, standards-aligned content ensures that FCC’s curriculum will not only engage students but also empower educators to confidently teach climate science and resilience strategies.

Steven Weiner
Director, Innovation
Steven Weiner is the Director of Innovation at Future Climate Collective, where he works to develop new and effective ways to empower students, their schools, and their communities to become more sustainable and resilient. With over 15 years of experience as a STEM educator, researcher, and community builder, Steven has studied and designed learning environments that center student agency, collaboration, and connection to the world around them. His work has spanned formal and informal educational systems—from K–12 schools and higher education to science centers—with a consistent focus on building community and supporting students furthest from opportunity. Steven holds a PhD from Arizona State University’s College of Global Futures and is a former NSF Graduate Research Fellow and University Innovation Fellow at Stanford.

Director, Events
Koleby Margoles is a dedicated community-builder and events professional who brings her startup, nonprofit, and operations expertise to the mission of expanding climate education for young people. With a background spanning event production, program development, and digital engagement, Koleby excels at creating experiences that are both inspiring and accessible. Driven by the belief that informed young people are essential to shaping a resilient future, Koleby contributes creativity and strategic thinking to Future Climate Collective.

Sarah Brinker
Advisor, Grants and Donor Relations
Sarah Brinker has 15+ years leading high-visibility sustainability and engagement initiatives in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She builds strong relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders and aligns cross-functional teams around shared goals. Spending summers in Yosemite and growing up on the California coast instilled in her a deep respect for the environment, and motivates her career in sustainability.

Neda Khan
Chief of Staff
Neda Khan brings over a decade of experience building organizations and translating strategy into execution across health systems, digital health companies, and academic institutions. As Director of Digital and AI Experience at Mount Sinai Health System, she founded the organization's first Customer Success function; as Director of Strategy and Operations for Penn's Nudge Unit, she built an 18-person team from the ground up and managed a $10M multi-project portfolio. Across her career, Neda has specialized in the operational backbone that turns bold ideas into scalable impact—org design, resource allocation, and cross-functional alignment.
That same drive to build lasting infrastructure for meaningful change is what draws her to Future Climate Collective. Neda is passionate about climate action and youth empowerment, and believes that equipping the next generation with the skills to lead is essential to a sustainable future. As Chief of Staff, she's excited to bring her strategic and operational expertise to help FCC scale its mission. -
Katy Wellington
Senior Program Manager
Katy Wellington began her career conducting National Science Foundation-supported research on climate change education before teaching middle school science through place-based and project-based learning. She later transitioned into climate technology, managing international regenerative agriculture programs, and now leads collaborative climate education initiatives that connect schools, nonprofits, and community partners. Outside of work she serves on local advisory committees and volunteers on conservation projects throughout the South Sound. Katy is passionate about building relationships that empower people to take meaningful climate action.
