Why Future Climate Collective?
Across the Pacific Northwest and beyond, young people are growing up in a world marked by climate disruption, ecological loss, and social uncertainty. Yet the tools and skills they need to navigate this complex reality are often missing from traditional education.
At Future Climate Collective, we believe the key to building a more resilient future is equipping the next generation with the skills to understand systems, think critically, solve real-world problems, collaborate effectively, and take purposeful action. By developing these capabilities, teens gain the confidence and agency to turn knowledge into impact—leading projects in their schools, communities, and beyond, and shaping a world they can thrive in.
Future Climate Collective partners with teens, educators, and local organizations to develop the skills young people need to thrive in a changing world. We focus on building climate literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and purposeful action, giving teens the tools and confidence to understand the systems shaping their lives and to design solutions that matter.
Through training, mentorship, and hands-on programs, we help teens and their communities start conversations, take meaningful action, and build the agency and resilience required to navigate uncertainty. We champion collective problem-solving, showing that facing limits doesn’t mean losing hope—and that youth voices are essential to creating a future rooted in possibility.
At the heart of our work is inclusivity and intergenerational collaboration, unlocking the potential of young people to become catalysts for transformation in their schools, families, and communities.
