From Student to Strategist
You don’t need to be an expert to start, but you will be one by the time you finish. FCC helps you move you from curiosity to professional agency. You can join a high-functioning team, master the systems that run our world, and build a portfolio of work that proves you are ready to lead the transition.
Our Programs
Impact Program
Our Impact Program is a semester-long journey where you move from seeing problems to solving them. In our Idea Lab, you’ll find a local climate or resilience challenge that matters to you and turn it into a real-world project. With professional mentors behind you, we provide the tools and coaching you need to bring your idea to life and lead the change in your own community.
Summer Academy
The Climate Residency is an intensive week where you stop just learning about climate change and start building solutions. You'll master green tech, sustainable design, and business strategy through hands-on workshops led by professional mentors. By the end of the week, you’ll walk away with a Professional Portfolio—including a leadership certificate, verified service hours, and a project pitch that proves you’re ready to lead.
Climathon
The Climathon is an innovation sprint where you turn big ideas into action plans. Working with expert mentors, you’ll tackle real-world climate challenges under pressure—just like a professional strike team. The weekend ends with you pitching your solution to city leaders and industry pros, giving you high-level experience and a standout project for your resume.
Student Leadership Team
The Student Leadership Team (SLT) is where you move from participating in programs to actually running the Collective. As our official youth voice, you’ll represent the mission at City Hall and work directly with city agencies to turn student ideas into real public policy. This is a rare chance to sit at the table with decision-makers, influence local climate budgets, and master the skills needed to create systemic change in the real world.
Every leader starts somewhere, but few have a map to get where they’re going. The FCC Journey is your roadmap from understanding the climate crisis to actually solving it. We move you through four distinct levels—starting with Literacy to build your knowledge, moving into Action to launch real projects, and ending with Leadership where you influence the city itself. This isn't just about learning; it’s about building a professional track record that proves you can own the transition to a sustainable future.
Phase 1: Literacy
It starts with the 'Why.' We provide the data and policy training you won't get in a standard classroom.
Phase 2: The Skill Set
It’s not enough to know the problem; you have to know how to solve it. You'll master the FCC Logic Model—a strategic tool used to map out community resilience.
Phase 3: Real Impact
Apply your skills. Whether it’s a high-speed Climathon or our semester-long Impact Program, you’ll be doing professional-grade work alongside your mentors.
Phase 4: The Leadership Team
The final level. Join the core team of students who help run the Collective. Help us design the next programs and mentor the next wave of students.
