    Background: Senior Environmental Studies & Biology major at Reed College; from Austin, TX.

    Climate Expertise: Research spans ecology, aquatic systems, and wildfire smoke; currently conducting a senior thesis on Spotted Towhees.

    Teaching & Community Experience: Grew up in a sustainable stewardship community in Taos; experienced in connecting ecology, culture, and community resilience.

    Passion for Education: Dedicated to helping youth understand climate through both scientific and human-centered lenses.

    What Inspires Her: A lifelong connection to the outdoors and community-building motivates her climate work.

  • Kevin Matisheck

    Background: Junior Environmental Studies major at Lewis & Clark College; from Golden, CO.

    Climate Expertise: Focus on urban design, climate change, and the green energy transition.

    Teaching Experience: Taught English and environmental issues at a local high school during a semester in Siena, Italy.

    Passion for Education: Believes climate literacy empowers young people to shape resilient communities.

    What Inspires Him: Time spent rowing, fishing, and being outdoors fuels his commitment to climate solutions.
