Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to be climate experts? Nope! You just need a passion for problem-solving. Your assigned mentor will help you navigate the technical side of the challenge.

What is the "Mystery Challenge"? To keep the playing field level, the specific topic is hidden until the sprint begins on March 6. It will involve a real-world issue (like urban heat, water, or forestry) affecting the Portland Metro area.

Why only 8 teams? We limit the field to ensure every team gets high-quality, 1-on-1 time with their professional mentor and plenty of time to pitch to the City Council members.
