Future Climate Collective is proud to be led entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers. By committing their time, expertise, and passion without compensation, our leadership team ensures that the maximum possible resources go directly toward programs that build climate literacy, 21st-century skills, and youth-led climate action.

This volunteer-driven model allows us to focus on what matters most: empowering young people to understand, engage with, and address the climate challenges of today and tomorrow.

  • Dominique Johnson

    Co-Founder

    Member, Board of Directors

    Dominique Johnson brings a wealth of experience in decarbonization and climate risk and resilience to Future Climate Collective.

    Dominique currently serves as in-house lawyer at Salesforce, focused on sustainability and climate. She had a similar role at Nike. Dominique's expertise in counseling businesses on decarbonization, sustainability, climate risk and resilience, coupled with her passion for climate literacy, positions her to lead FCC. Inspired by her twin boys, her vision is to create a generation of informed leaders who are prepared to tackle the challenges posed by a changing climate.

  • Lisa Whelan

    Co-Founder, Director, Curriculum

    Lisa Whelan is an accomplished educator with over 20 years of experience across public, charter, and private school systems. Her dedication to environmental education, coupled with her deep understanding of the evolving needs of teachers and students makes her a great choice for Curriculum Director at the Future Climate Collective.

    Lisa has consistently identified and addressed gaps in educational practices, including the pressing need for adaptive and up-to-date curriculum materials. Her expertise in designing impactful, standards-aligned content ensures that FCC’s curriculum will not only engage students but also empower educators to confidently teach climate science and resilience strategies.

  • Steven Weiner

    Director, Innovation

    Steven Weiner is the Director of Innovation at Future Climate Collective, where he works to develop new and effective ways to empower students, their schools, and their communities to become more sustainable and resilient. With over 15 years of experience as a STEM educator, researcher, and community builder, Steven has studied and designed learning environments that center student agency, collaboration, and connection to the world around them. His work has spanned formal and informal educational systems—from K–12 schools and higher education to science centers—with a consistent focus on building community and supporting students furthest from opportunity. Steven holds a PhD from Arizona State University’s College of Global Futures and is a former NSF Graduate Research Fellow and University Innovation Fellow at Stanford.

    John Evans brings more than three decades of experience supporting mission-driven organizations in delivering meaningful, measurable impact. With a career spanning both corporate and nonprofit leadership, he specializes in strengthening organizational alignment, deepening engagement, and building systems that sustain long-term results.

    At Future Climate Collective, John helps sharpen our focus on impact, engagement, and outcomes—ensuring that our programs remain tightly aligned with our mission to build the climate literacy and 21st-century skills young people need to thrive in a changing world.

    Director, Events

    Koleby Margoles is a dedicated community-builder and events professional who brings her startup, nonprofit, and operations expertise to the mission of expanding climate education for young people. With a background spanning event production, program development, and digital engagement, Koleby excels at creating experiences that are both inspiring and accessible. Driven by the belief that informed young people are essential to shaping a resilient future, Koleby contributes creativity and strategic thinking to Future Climate Collective.

  • Natalie Anderson

    Director, Content and Marketing

    Natalie Anderson is a communications and editorial strategist with experience developing content strategies that support global development, nonprofit initiatives, and policy-driven storytelling. She currently manages communications for Opportunity International’s AgFinance division, where she helps connect fieldwork in rural communities to broader conversations around sustainability, climate resilience, and social equity. Throughout her career, Natalie has focused on using storytelling as a bridge: translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that drive understanding and inspire change.
    Beyond her current role, Natalie has led strategic communications and editorial projects for organizations across sectors, from cybersecurity startups to global nonprofits. She is passionate about environmental protection, outdoor education, and expanding awareness around clean energy and conservation.

    Member, Board of Directors

    Neeraj Narayan is the CEO of SIV Impact Inc. and brings a career dedicated to creating meaningful impact at the intersection of people and the planet. With two decades of experience at Nike Inc. and expertise in developing nature-based solutions and promoting regenerative practices, Neeraj combines entrepreneurial vision with mission-driven leadership.

    At Future Climate Collective, Neeraj provides strategic guidance to help scale youth climate leadership programs and drive measurable impact in Portland and beyond. His experience in innovative solutions and sustainable practices makes him a key partner in advancing FCC’s mission to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to thrive in a changing world.

  • Andrew Ma

    Member, Board of Directors

    Andrew ("Andy") Ma is an emerging climate leader with a strong interest in how technology influences climate change solutions. Through his work with his non-profit Next Gen Innovators(NGI), Andy has helped connect youth, educators, and community organizations around climate action. In particular, he has led a youth-focused climate summit at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge for the past 3 years. Andy brings a growing network, a collaborative mindset, and a unique youth-driven perspective to FCC.
