Student-Led Climate Solutions

Future Climate Impact is a year-long, project-based learning program where student teams transform climate concern into tangible community solutions—guided by some of the most accomplished climate and sustainability leaders working today.

Our mentorship model pairs schools with both a professional climate expert and a dedicated program facilitator, ensuring students receive real-world expertise, project management tools, and community connections that bring their ideas to life.

  • Working alongside seasoned climate professionals, student teams:

    • Identify pressing climate issues in their schools or communities

    • Research root causes and analyze systems impacts

    • Design equitable, achievable solutions tailored to local needs

    • Lead implementation from start to finish, with ongoing expert guidance

    Example projects include:

    • Heat island mapping → tree planting initiatives in underserved neighborhoods

    • Youth-led climate policy forums to engage decision-makers

    • Bilingual emergency preparedness campaigns for wildfire and extreme heat

    • Community resilience fairs in partnership with local agencies

    • For Students: Builds leadership, collaboration, and public speaking skills while making a measurable impact in their community.

    • For Teachers: Flexible integration into classes, clubs, or extracurricular programs—while connecting students to world-class sustainability experts.

    • Schools and College Guidance Counselors: Offers students a standout portfolio piece demonstrating initiative, problem-solving, and civic engagement.

    • Full academic year commitment (Fall–Spring)
